Part No: A-BH049
The OV-1 Mohawk has the distinction of being the first Turboprop aircraft operated by the US Army. Designed for battlefield surveillance with light strike capability, the heavily armoured Mohawk carried two crew members side-by-side and proved to be perfect for operation from short or unimproved runways in support of Army manoeuvres.
Its proportions make it ideal as a model and Black Horse have re-created this unique aircraft in an easy-to-fly model that only requires two modest size brushless motors for excellent flight performance. Manufactured using selected quality materials the Mowhawk has a light wing loading, is docile to fly and with no worries about 'losing' an engine, would make an excellent first twin. Most mouldings are accurately produced in glass fibre, with lightweight plastic used in lightly stressed areas.
We tested this model extensively using 2 x KMS Quantum 2814/06 motors, 2 x KMS Sentry 40 controllers, and an 3S 4800 Li-Po battery, and found this combination gave excellent levels of performance and duration.
