The first electric glider from Black Horse had to be something special, and the Sonic certainly is!
Although sleek and with more than a passing resemblance to a 'Hotliner' concept, the Sonic is actually far more sports flier orientated. The suggested KMS motor will provide adequate climb performance although not vertical. Where the Sonic wins is the docile yet crisp handling with no nasty surprises. The design is intended to be flown at a more 'positive' speed than just 'floated' around and that rewards with a an efficient glide ratio. It is a model that will feel comfortable to a pilot used to sports IC models in terms of handling yet with the right conditions will hapily thermal all day.
Construction is all wood and covered in Oracover film.
Supplied in a sturdy, laser-cut, wooden carrying case, the Sonic can be dis-assembled for easy, safe transport and storage.
